At the offices of a Japanese corporation, during a party, a woman, who's evidently a professional mistress, is found dead, apparently after some rough sex. A police detective, Web Smith is called in to investigate, but before getting there, he gets a call from someone who instructs him to pick up John Connor, a former police Captain and expert on Japanese affairs. When they arrive there, Web thinks that everything is obvious, but Connor tells him that there's a lot more going on.

rom Rising Sun you can definitely expect a cinema at an above average level. The ending is like a Hitchcock hit, the final turn of the action that amazes and depresses. The whole movie is complemented by well matched music. This is a movie which you have to watch online!. The actors of Rising Sun doesn't try to become stars of the evening, but they consistently play their roles. For 3/4 of the movie, I had an unpleasant hug in my stomach. Subconsciously, I felt that the action would go even worse, that the main character would have even harder.... Show more
