Created in Snakes and Earrings, Snakes and Earrings became an unexpected hit. The actors are also really convincing in their roles. The whole movie is complemented by well matched music. From all the movies I watched last time, Snakes and Earrings surprised me the most. The actors of Snakes and Earrings doesn't try to become stars of the evening, but they consistently play their roles. Snakes and Earrings gives the viewer unusual emotions. They are unpleasant, they drill a hole in the stomach and in the mind. And this is the beauty of this film. A nomination for an Oscar is not enough.... Show more
Snakes and Earrings description:
19-year-old Rui is deeply disappointed until he falls in love with Shie in Shibuya, Tokyo. She put his earrings on, so she chose her tongue. Pain is the only way that it can feel alive. Tattoo designer Shiba is also curious about Rui because of his sadistic split. Ama protects Rui from violence and Shiba uses violence to love her. A strange love triangle of violence and sex, and Rui's body changed with a tattoo and a large earring.
