Robert Rodriguez should more emphasize the psychological image of the characters, and the film would surely gain from it. Efficient balancing between different, preferably extreme, moods seems to me one of the greatest pieces in screenwriting. There are few works similarly affecting the viewer, leaving such an emotional resonance after the screening.
