The whole movie is complemented by well matched music. The full film is complemented by great music and good scenes. The actors do not try to become stars of the evening, but they consistently play their roles. The Climax description:
Dr. Hohner (Karloff), theater doctor at the Vienna Royal Theater, murders his lover, the star soprano, when jealousy drives him to an insane obsession. Ten years later, another young singer (Foster) Hohner recalls a late diva and his old mania begins. Hohner wants to prevent her from singing someone other than him, even if it means silencing her forever. The singer's fiancee (Bey) hurries to save her at the climax of the film.
