Breathtaking film from 1960. I sat for a long time after I ended watching Sons and Lovers, reflecting on my life. The film encourages reflection and, although it is not an outstanding work, it is certainly worth getting acquainted with it. The movie starts in a very unusual way. Acting is very real - I believed what I see on the screen. And, as it turned out, Sons and Lovers passed the test of time as a winner.
Sons and Lovers description:
This is the beginning of the twentieth century. Morel family lives in a community mining Nottingham, England, on the outskirts of Nottingham. Now there is little connection between husband and wife, Walter and Gertrud to be due to their differences, and everyone quietly or not so quietly able to emotionally manipulate their now adult sons.
