The father of the terminally ill girl is determined to fulfill his daughter's last wish, an absurdly expensive collector's costume from a Japanese television series. This request will take him on a journey into the darkness of his city.

Every year, at least a dozen of Drama movies are created, most of them are usually ordinary. The actors are also really convincing in their roles. I was afraid that knowledge of the plot would in some way take away the joy of watching, but it did not happen. The full film is complemented by great music and good scenes. The actors of Magical Girl doesn't try to become stars of the evening, but they consistently play their roles. Magical Girl gives the viewer unusual emotions. They are unpleasant, they drill a hole in the stomach and in the mind. And this is the beauty of this film. A nomination for an Oscar is not enough.... Show more
